What We Do: We Reconnect The Homeless With Their Loved Ones

OUR PROCESS: HOW WE INTERACT ON-SITE HELPING THE HOMELESS

Over half a million Americans were homeless in 2020, and the numbers are constantly increasing. In many cases, the continual rise of mortgage and rental prices forces entire families onto the streets.

At Find Homeless People, we understand the impact of our attitudes when working with the less fortunate and we qualify ourselves by the depth of our experience.

That’s why our dedicated volunteers come together and give away sack lunches, canned foods, hygiene kits, socks, and blankets, more while collecting the information needed to build profiles for homeless people.

The information we collect on-site includes:

Name and ID Information
Recent Photographs
An Assessment of Their Mental and Physical Health Status
Locations We Found Them, Including the Date and Time
And Details Regarding Any Resources or Support They Are Receiving, and Who It Is Coming From

Our goal is to improve daily life for the homeless and create an opportunity for at-risk individuals to be found by family and friends that love and care for them as soon as possible.

We are getting it done in two ways:

We give anyone free access to search our unique database and we provide a detailed list of specialized resources that help conduct your own search.
Our volunteers are eager to visit homeless encampments, public and non-profit shelters, and faith-based organizations to help gather information about people that may lead to a reunion with loved ones, family, and friends.

This year we will begin recording data on the men, women, and children that are struggling all around Los Angeles County before we expand to canvassing camps nationwide.
