Position Summary:
Working with the Find Homeless People Team, a passion for community outreach and engagement is a must. The Intern will do pick ups, sort and help distribute food, hygiene kits, blankets and clothing. The Intern will also help register the homeless in our database. With excellent verbal and written communication skills, the Intern will help coordinating with local non-profits and religious organizations.
We are seeking a student at a nearby community college or university who is willing to add positive value to the organization. Experience working with nonprofits or Philanthropy is preferred. Please send resumes and cover letters to Cesar, Senior Director, at support@findhomelesspeople.org.
Duties:
- Coordinate with local non-profits and religious organizations.
- Pick ups, sort and help distribute food, hygiene kits, blankets and clothing.
- Help register the homeless in our database.
Expectations:
- Be available for at least 10 hours per week – days/times you choose are flexible.
- Occasional weekend and evening opportunities may arise.
- Have a positive attitude and strong work ethic.

- High level of initiative, creativity, and motivation
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Publisher)
- Experience in using WordPress with basic Database knowledge preferred
